what is pretentious activitism?
Pretentious activitism is par-taking in the madness without heed to any method.
I am all for NGO's, because historically they have been efficient and generally speaking they tend to have a more passionate bunch of people work with them-- BUT some of the causes these NGOs take up are quite ridiculous!
We have issues like hungery, famine, infant mortality, child poverty, poverty, lack of education, human rights, wars-- all of these reflect a total disregard towards human life and humanity yet there activists working on Pet rights, legislators working day and night on constituting law on animal rights, academic and behaviorists arguing the emotional implications of abuse on cats dogs and mice! And i am all for that too but ONLY AFTER we have takencare of issues that are affecting humans.
I will become a member of PETA once we have established that WAR never an answer. Once there is a global code or law agreed upon that says that taking the life of even a criminal or a terrorists life is illegal--
Globalization, which is inevitable/unstoppable considering how the planet is being technologically integrated, cannot work as an exclusive club only for "freedom" and "liberity" loving "democracy ducks" that have been hynotised by free-market liberalism.
Freedom and liberty are not as narrow as george dubbew had them perceived.
There is freedom outside the market and there is liberty beyond capital!
